 Yahoo! Personals and Match.com head the online dating community. They still do up until now but a new breed of dating sites have sprung. They are what we call niche sites that cater to a specific group of people.

 There are sites that offer dating services to, who else, but geeks! We have Sweet On Geeks and Geek 2 Geek as some of them. They are sites that basically allow other geeks to meet their fellow nerds. For friends of pocket protectors, this is the best site yet.

 One site offers dating service for farmers. It is called, what else but Farmers Only. The site is founded by a man named Jerry Miller and he said that this site is for farmers, animal breeders, cow girls, cow boys and for those who, as he calls them, “understand the meaning of Southern hospitality, even if they don't live in the South”

 Others are into religion, some of which are JDate, Christian Café and Black Christian People Meet. Although for the Christian sites, some homosexuals feel discriminated at due to the fact that the religion itself does not seem to condone their lifestyle.

 Speaking of discrimination, a particularly selective online dating site is called Darwin Dating that only allows “really beautiful people” to join their site. It claims that those who are attractive are at an disadvantage since online dating is usually littered with people who are, and we quote, “ugly, unattractive, desperate fatsos”.
